It's on 7th Ave & 9th St. Katty corner is currently a Starbucks which was a bar & grill, maybe that's what you're reffering to?
I've been going to this place since I was a little girl and to this day it doesn't disappoint. My only criticism is, GET GLUTEN FREE CRUST YOU GUYS! As a vegan I absolutely loved your salad pizza and I miss proper Brooklyn Pizza especially since I now am no longer allowed to eat gluten. Breaks my heart. An absolute Park Slope staple.
Alway delicious pizza everytime I come here and these guys are pleasant which is always a plus.
Best pizza in Brooklyn! Or what am I saying! Best pizza I have ever had. Period! Before today, it was 10 years ago when I had Smiling Pizza last, before moving to Staten Island. After that, no pizza ever was satisfactory. Today I remembered once again why I loved their pizza!Their crust! OMG! So crunchy, crispy heavenly perfection throughout the whole slice. I usually don't eat the outside crust of the pizza, but when eating Smiling Pizza, it must be considered a sin to not to eat the crust. Their sauce is very subtle, not overwhelming at all. Just the right amount with the right ingredients!AMAZING PIZZA ALL AND ALL.Just a heads up, they have a $10 minimum for cards. But they have an atm with in the pizzeria, which the few wasn't an arm and a leg.I say it now, I'll say it again, BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!
The pizza is good and the staff are friendly and they deliver
The staff are nice. the place is clean. the pizza is good.
Typical greasy ny slices. Good for the prices but a little messy for me. Spot is no thrills and all business
First, this place will always be Smiley's to me, not Smiling and while a few years ago the pizza quality was declining, it's starkly back up and incredibly delicious. I'll always be a single slice(s) girl over a full pie but Smiley's manages to keep the crust and cheese integrity even when cooking a larger pie.Definitely don't skip this place if you're new to the neighborhood and do try the regular slice. Yum!The entrance on the corner of 9th Street is wheelchair-accessible #accessible as are seating but bathrooms are very tight.
Food was good. The bathroom was "out of order." Meanwhile while sitting there eating i seen 4 times people get the key and use said out of order bathroom. When i asked for the key i was told it was out of order. Go figure.
My favorite pizzeria. I am additic to the baby pies. If you are ever in Brooklyn make sure you try this restaurant. The service is topnotch. I have been a customer I believe over 20 years.
My family's go to place for a quick and delicious meal. Everything is always fresh and I have never been disappointed. Delivery is also great.
This place is a Park Slope institution – I've been grabbing slices here since I was in high school. It's your standard, "New York style" pizza, complete with the pools of oil you have to sop up with napkins before you take a bite, but it's still pretty damn good.
I give it a 3.5 it has a good crispy crust and the sauce was better than the others I had you can taste the oregano, tomato. Decent.
This place is super cute and retro. They take good care of it. The pizza is cheap and tasty. They've got other foods if you're feeling like having something a little different. It's worth visiting once!
Go-to weekly old-school red-sauce vibe
I've been coming here for 40 years until I was forced out of the neighborhood by the exorbitant rents. But bar none, they have the best pizza and pasta in Brooklyn! So whenever I get a chance I come back, I always stop by for a slice or meatball hero
I eat in this restaurant quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The cooking is very good, the staff members are welcoming and the price is fair. I enjoy being in this place for a good lunch.
It's a Great Place To Eat Pizza For Either Lunchtime Or Dinnertime At The Sametime Put Together!:-)
The best pizza I could find in NY! I dream about having this Piazza again!
This is our neighborhood slice spot. Classic crispy. yummy.
Was asked what I wanted I said um as I was about to order and the cook looks away and yells out next. Better pizza places down the street
Taste like my Grandma's, delicious Brooklyn pie. Will be back when visiting from Philly. Gravy is soooooooo good.
It's good (not great) pizza, but it's reliable and for the neighborhood it's open relatively late for those of us who'be had a couple drinks.
We were walking out of Prospect Park. We saw the sign here, and we just went in. It was lucky. We ate a piece of pizza. The pizza dough was very fresh. We left there and went to a bar, but went back to Smiling Pizza. It was very late, but it was open. We ate a piece of pizza again. Then we took a Uber taxi to the hotel in Manhattan. It was a very happy night for us.
Smiling Pizza used to be the best pizza in the area about 10-15 years ago. Now, not so much. Too doughey! It used to have a delicious thin crust. Oh, well, it's OK in a pinch. Also, it ain't "brick oven," it's a regular pizza oven like any other.
Great pizza. Yummy
It was greasy burned and had no flavor. It made me and my wife physically ill!!! I wanted to give it negative 5 stars!!@@
Quick service, I had the cheese calzone andnit was delicious. The crust was tasty and crispy and the cheese was flavorful and plenty.
Whenever I go to the City I stay in Brooklyn. Whenever I take the F train and get off at 7 Ave, I find solace in the fact that Smiling Pizza will be there waiting for me. There are few things in life as reliable, or comforting, as this fact.
I just had a slice of grandma .Ingredients and prep..wrre..not the bestTomato sauce wasn t coocked. Straight from the can.Mozzarella on grand ma slice suppose to be fresh... but was the same as regular slice...
This place used to be great. Now it's just ok. Not sure if change in management, or they lost their groove, or they just don't care. Customer service was less than ideal. Since they didn't care - I don't care. The last pizza I had was rock hard. I never complain, nor am the the type to complain. Definitely not returning again. There are better alternatives everywhere.
Great service and even better tasting pizza. Top 5 best pizza in BK hands down
My first time in NYC and this was the best place to stop before leaving. When I thought of NYC pizza this is the kind of place that popped into my head. Amazing food, amazing prices and super friendly staff.
Best slice of pizza by far in park slope. Right next to the F and G trains so you can get a slice on your way to and from the area. They are quick with their pizza and have good prices.
A neighborhood institution. Nice staff and consistently good food. My go to place for late night ordering. Love their grandma slice and calzones. They also make great soups. The place is busy for a reason!
A neighborhood favorite, absolutely love this place. Great pizza, friendly staff, and when it's not super busy great place to sit and eat. Family friendly. Kid friendly. Would recommend for a Quick bite or to sit and stay.
This place is pretty great, I love coming here. they service is amazing and the food is even better. The pizza is super flavorful and the crust i my favorite part.
Great pizza and nice view on 7th ave & 9th Street when you sit and eat. Has 2 entrances so it doesn't get to crowded .
Very neat and convenient place. They provide large meals and for fair prices. I loved the meals very much and the staff were very affable and explanatory. I recommend this place.
The pizza here is fantastic. The service is wonderful. I've been there a few times and haven't bee n disappointed.
Good food but too expensive. $3.00 for a plain slice of pizza is outrageous. $13.00 for eggplant is also ridiculous. Pricey establishment. I guess that's what you get for parkslope area
They have been there for years making great pizza
It's nowhere near the best pizza in NYC... But it's one of the better pizza places in the neighborhood.
Ordered a slice of pizza, there were only two left of the kind l ordered. He put it in the oven to warm it up. A minute later a white couple walked in, they wanted two slices of the same kind. There was only one left at this point after my order. He gave the couple that last slice and my slice. He told me he made a mistake when l enquired about my order. Was it a mistake? You be the judge. I know l am not going back.
I dropped in here for a quick bite. You can order large pizzas for about 20 dollars or by the slice for $2.75. They also serve spaghetti. Pizza dough was good with a crisp base and plenty of cheese on top which I think was more of a cheddar than mozzarella. The slices were big, a very tasty. Definitely worth it for a quick snack.
First time ever I received a BaD Pizza from Smiling! We we're Celebrating some Great News and it was such a Disappointment!! The Crust was Hard and Old (not Freshly made)!! We paid $16.00 plus tip and it really just "F'd up"Our Mood!! Food is really an Important Ingredient to a Good Time! I will not Order Pizza from "Smiling" again!!
Great pizza old school love it recommend it to my family and friends
We ordered delivery, 2 slices pepperoni & 2 vegetable. Food came within a reasonable time, but the order was wrong. We got 2 plain cheese & 2 veggie. The veggie slice was delicious! The cheese slice was okay, but they didn’t even send any garlic, grated Parmesan, or red pepper flakes as condiments. In spite of the few missteps I would still go to eat a slice at the restaurant as the slices were overall pretty good.
This is a good go-to pizzeria. They've got the usual slices on hand.. and a pretty big menu of stuff you can order. It's also a chill corner spot to hang out and have a slice in.
Great pizza great spot I would recommend
It is great place to get an old school pizza slice
